A Historic Birmingham Institution Since 1923
The Yenton Masonic Centre has stood as a cornerstone of Birmingham's masonic culture for over a century. Founded in 1923, our walls hold the collective memory of generations of brethren who have gathered here to practice the ancient crafts and uphold the values of Integrity, Friendship, respect and service. From the grand directional lighting of our ceremonial halls to the intimate archives of our founding members, Yenton represents a living record of masonic evolution in the English Midlands.
The Journey Through Freemasonry
Explore the three degrees of Craft Freemasonry and the Royal Arch, each representing a distinct stage of learning, reflection and personal development

Entered Apprentice
The first step in Freemasonry, where a new member is introduced to the principles of brotherly love, relief and truth. This degree focuses on self‑reflection and the commitment to live by Masonic values.

Fellow Craft
The second degree encourages a deeper understanding of knowledge, learning and personal growth. Here, a Mason is invited to explore the moral and philosophical lessons at the heart of the Craft.

Royal Arch
The fourth and final stage in Pure Antient Masonry, where members follow the clues from the Third Degree to complete their journey. It builds on the principles of the Craft and offers fresh perspectives on the meaning and value of Freemasonry.Â

Master Mason
The third degree completes a Mason’s journey through Craft Freemasonry. It explores themes of integrity, fidelity and the hope of immortality, and marks full membership in the lodge.
